Orange is the largest mobile phone operator in France and it was normal to become one of the partners of the event, and since Romania miraculously managed to qualify for UEFA EURO 2016, the event will be very important for us as well.

ORANGE joins UEFA EURO 2016™ as global sponsor and official telecommunications service provider

Paris, 28 October 2015. UEFA and Orange are pleased to announce that Orange is officially joining the UEFA EURO 2016™ commercial program as a global sponsor with exclusive international rights, and will also be the official telecommunications service provider of this competition.

UEFA EURO 2016™ is the second edition in which Orange collaborates with UEFA at Europe's most important football event and the third most important sporting event globally. As part of its campaign for UEFA EURO 2016™, Orange will develop exclusive offers that will give customers the opportunity to connect to what is essential to them.

Official Telecommunications Service Provider of UEFA EURO 2016™

As the official telecommunications service provider, Orange will offer all fixed and wireless communication services of the competition. This includes responsibility for providing live broadcast of matches from France's 10 stadiums to television and fans around the world, as well as ensuring connectivity for staff, officials, media, referees and volunteers through approximately 25.000 access points and mobile services during the tournament.

More than 800 engineers and experts from Orange will be dedicated to the smooth running of UEFA EURO 2016™.
