Exynos 8890 is an SoC developed by Samsung especially for the line Samsung Galaxy S7, he going to pair with Snapdragon 820 in these terminals, but the last chip is produced by Qualcomm and will be found in many other top smartphones.
Because both chips are very close to being launched together with high-end smartphones, today we see the first benchmarks in which their performance is shown, the Snapdragon 820 completing the Apple chip in performance, as it was expected.
In the first image below you can see the score obtained by the Snapdragon 820 chip in a test made with the Geekbench program, it slightly surpasses the A9 chip in the single-core test, but by a lot in the multi-core one, but this was already expected by everyone.
In the single-core test, the Snapdragon 820 chip is inferior to the A9X, which gets a score almost 50% better, but in the single-core tests the two SoCs get equal scores, and here it matters the most, because this it is practically the performance felt by the users.
Moving now to the Exynos 8890, the ones from Samsung offer performances close to those of the Snapdragon 820, beating in certain graphic tests including the Apple A9 chip, something that not many people expect considering that Apple is rarely beaten in such tests .
As you will see from the images below, the Exynos 8890 and Apple A9 have various strengths and weaknesses depending on the tests that are run on the terminals that were offered for verification, but the new Samsung chip wins quite a few of the comparisons.
I don't know how many people expect that in benchmarks the Apple A9 chip will surpass the new Samsung Exynos 8890 chip after the official launch, but these results will probably disappoint some people, although it is normal for a new product to be more efficient in certain tasks -hate.
