According to Nielsen, Facebook it was the most used application in 2015, with over 127 million users in the US alone, so theoretically around 40% of the country's population has at least one account in the famous social network and has used the application.

On the second position in the top we find the application YouTube with over 97 million users in the US alone, Facebook Messenger occupying the third position with over 96 million users, but also the highest growth rate in 2015 among all top applications.

On the fourth position we have the Google Search application with 95 million users, the 5th place being attributed to Google Play with over 89 million users, the 6th place being awarded by Google Maps with over 87 million users, Gmail being the last Google application from the top.

As far as the Apple company is concerned, it has only two applications at the top, Apple Music and Apple Maps, the first registering 54.5 million users, while the second registered 46.4 million users, the audio streaming service from Cupertino being more more popular than Twitter, for example.

The interesting part is that Apple Music is almost as popular as Instagram in the US, but despite the large number of people who have tried the service, only 6.5 million people actually pay a monthly subscription for it at the moment.
