WhatsApp Messenger did not work on New Year's Eve

WhatsApp Messenger doesn't work new yearWhatsApp Messenger ended 2015 very badly, the VoIP messaging and calling application not being functional on New Year's Eve for hundreds of millions of users from various continents around the globe, the problem being massively reported by them.

Europe, North America and South America are the continents where it seems like WhatsApp Messenger services were unavailable in the evening of December 31, 2015, users having major problems in sending messages, pictures, video clips or initiating VoIP phone calls to friends.

WhatsApp Messenger's servers were down for about 40 minutes on New Year's Eve, enough to generate a lot of frustration among a large number of users on the planet, and this is the first time that the application has had problems of this kind in a day of end of the year.

Those from WhatsApp acknowledged in a short press statement the fact that the WhatsApp Messenger application did not work on New Year's Eve, without offering any explanation, although network congestion was probably the main problem of the service interruption.

Some people have had trouble accessing WhatsApp for a short period today. We're working to restore service back to 100% for everyone and we apologize for the inconvenience.

WhatsApp Messenger is the largest text messaging network on the planet, with almost 1 billion monthly active users, and in the next period it will also include a video calling function for those who use the application.
