Volkswagen e-Golf Touch controls the car only with gestures

Volkswagen e-Golf TouchVolkswagen is present at CES 2016 these days and does not talk about how he cheated the whole world with the emissions of his cars, but presents, among other things, a system called e-Golf Touch which allows drivers to control a car using gestures or voice commands.

The system is currently demonstrated on an electric car e-Golf and we are talking about a 9.2-inch touch screen that has a built-in camera and is able to allow the control of some simple functions of the car by simply waving the hand in front of it.

Having a port USB-C, the car allows the charging of any type of mobile terminals, that is of course if they do not somehow have a wireless charging system with which the front and rear seats are already equipped, the technological leap being enormous for the Volkswagen company.

Apart from these, the car can be controlled by voice commands, and those from Volkswagen they have implemented a series of microphones and loudspeakers that amplify what the occupants of the front seats say in the back of the car, so that they can be heard without problems.

Furthermore, the Volkswagen e-Golf car can also be controlled by a tablet that is connected to it via Wi-Fi, the rear passengers having control over the volume of the speakers in the car, the company also offering the possibility to customize various aspects of the car even to passengers.

Volkswagen e-Golf Touch will be implemented in cars launched this year, but it is not known how many of these functions will actually be available from 2016.
