CarPlay was named the 2016 automotive technology of the year

CCarPlay is a system created by the Apple company specifically for car infotainment systems, facilitating the control of an iPhone using Siri or a touch screen with an interface similar to that offered by the iOS operating system.

Autoblog, one of the largest magazines dedicated to automobiles, a awarded the CarPlay system with the title of technology of the year 2016 for automobiles in the functionality section, Tesla Model S P90D winning the same award in the automobile category, very rightly so.

According to those from Autoblog, Carplay technology offers a functionality that allows users to extremely easily improve the experience of using a car, connecting the driver to the mobile terminal in a way that does not require him to take his eyes off the road.

Of course, we are talking here about a system available in very few cars that has very limited functionality, but even so, its benefits cannot be denied, although Apple still has a lot of work to do to turn it into something indispensable for a driver.

This year, the winner of the Technology of the Year Feature Award was awarded to Apple CarPlay. "Apple's CarPlay represents the impact technology is having on our connected lives and brings an experience that is easy to use and enhances the lives of consumers who use this product" said Stephen Rouse, Autoblog's Director of Product and Technology.
