Apple hired Amazon's vice president for IT security

Company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), recently hired Amazon's vice president for IT security, George Stathakopoulos, the move coming as a response to the constant attacks of those from the FBI in an attempt to obtain court orders and changes in legislation that would force Apple to compromise iOS security.

Before joining Amazon, George Stathakopoulos was also vice president of the computer security division at Microsoft, so we are talking about a man with vast experience behind him, he will lead the digital security division at Apple.

The hiring was confirmed by a journalist who called Apple and was transferred to the office of George Stathakopoulos, so we're not talking about mere rumors, the hiring has major implications for Apple's struggle to secure its software for products around the world the whole

Within Apple, George Stathakopoulos is under the command of the CFO, Luca Maestri, with the role of ensuring the protection of all computers and mobile terminals used by Apple employees, but also of the data of users who use Apple products worldwide.

Stathakopoulos reports to Apple's chief financial officer and will be responsible for protecting corporate assets, such as the computers used to design products and develop software, as well as data about customers. The company's heads of hardware and software remain in charge of protecting users of Apple's products.

Basically, Stathakopoulos will oversee the way security measures will be implemented in iOS, OS X and the various applications created by the Apple company for the rumors that claimed that Apple would make iCloud impossible to hack, increasing in credibility with this new hire.
