Google could use an Apple programming language

Almost two years ago, the Apple company launched the Swift programming language for application developers for the iOS platform, it has steadily grown in popularity since then and until now, with praise coming even from Cupertino's competitors.

Swift is considered by many to be a versatile programming language that is much easier to learn than other similar programming languages, with Google considering the option of using it for the Android operating system as well.

At the moment, Java is the main programming language used in Android, but the Google company wants to change it due to lawsuits filed by Oracle, and it seems that Swift could be one of the alternatives recommended to Android application developers.

Swift is offered as open source by Apple and Google should make great efforts to make its APIs and libraries compatible with this programming language, but everything is possible if the decision is made to use Swift in the future .

All told, Google would have to effectively recreate its efforts with Java — for Swift. If the company is motivated enough, it's very possible to do so without compromising on its open source values or ruffling any developer feathers along the way.

The big problem for Google in this adoption lies in the fact that it would use the programming language developed by its biggest competitor in the segment of mobile terminals, and in the end the company will probably decide not to make the decision to replace Java with Swift.

Apart from Google, it seems that Facebook and Uber intend to use Swift as a programming language for certain services or products, but it remains to be seen who will choose Swift in the end, the Apple company has a lot to gain regardless of who will do it.
