Samsung could be the only manufacturer of OLED screens for the iPhone

Samsung prepares for a possible historical reconciliation, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), being able to grant him a exclusive contract for the manufacture of OLED screens dedicated to iPhone terminals, the Koreans having to make a huge investment to be able to obtain Apple's signatures.

More specifically, Samsung should invest no less than 9 billion in new production lines for OLED screens dedicated to iPhone terminals that would be launched in 2017, the amount being enormous, but the earnings based on the collaboration with Apple could even triple in the coming years.

Samsung's revenues have been constantly falling in recent years and the smartphone manufacturer needs a contract of this kind to bring the revenues back to a normal level, Apple being able to help it get back on track both in terms of receipts, as well as in terms of profit.

For Samsung, the investment is huge and represents an important risk, but if this exclusive contract is signed, then Samsung will be the only producer of OLED screens for Apple and will earn a lot of money if it can respect its obligations towards the Americans.

Samsung is in talks with Apple to be the exclusive supplier of displays for iPhone models scheduled for release next year, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter. The company would need to spend the money building capacity for the technology, which is thinner, brighter and less draining on the battery than those in most current smartphones.

At the moment, the Apple company buys screens for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch from multiple suppliers, and an exclusive collaboration with Samsung would be risky, so it remains to be seen whether it will choose to do this or not.
