Tim Cook's visit to India was not only limited to meetings with representatives of local companies, or with application developers, the CEO of Apple also having the opportunity to participate in a party organized by some of the biggest stars of Bollywood.
The party was organized by the Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan, and among the well-known stars who were present at the location and met Tim Cook are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Farah Khan and AR Rahman,
The iPhone brand is not as well known in India as in other areas of the planet, so this move by Tim Cook is most likely based on the desire to use local celebrities to promote Apple products among Indians enough rich to buy them.
Tim Cook is used to taking part in parties of this kind in the USA, but this is one of the few occasions when we see him in one organized outside the USA and it will certainly not be the last, especially if the interests of Apple will ask him to socialize and with other stars from other countries around the world.
