The search system of the iPhone and iPad is meant to ease the work of discovering information available in iOS, but it is not thought to be to everyone's liking, and to solve this problem a tweak named PersonalSpotLight.
According to the PersonalSpotLight developer, his package offers us the opportunity to customize the way the iOS search system looks, his tweak having an extremely varied range of options that we can control through a settings menu of the Configurations, Settings application .
Using PersonalSpotLight we can: delete searches when Spotlight closes, display the keyboard when touching a search result, disable the opening of applications, hide the icon for dictation and many, many others that you have listed below.
- Clear Search On Dismiss: it clears the field of the previous search when you come back to the spotlight.
- KeyBoard Shows On Tap Search: it shows the KeyBoard only when you tap on the field of searching.
- Cancel Button Only Exit KeyBoard: it dismisses the KeyBoard (and clears the text too). With this option enabled press Home to exit from the swipe down Spotlight.
- Disable Cancel Button: it disables the taping on the Cancel Button.
- Disable Pull Down Gesture: it disables the Spotlight by pulling down Gesture.
- Disable Swipe Right Gesture: it disables the Spotlight by swiping right Gesture to the Minus Page.
- Disable Apps Launch: it disables the opening of the Apps (they can still be searched and viewed).
- Disable Show More Feature: it disables the Show More Option (the label can still be viewed and tapped but not working).
- Hide Blur On Left Minus Page: It hides the Blur on the background of the swipe right Minus Page Spotlight.
- Hide Dictation Icon: it hides the little Dictation's Icon at the top right in the searching field.
- Hide Show More Feature Label: it hides (and consequently disables) the label of the Show More Option.
- Lighten BG On Swipe Down: it lights up the background of the swipe down Spotlight.
