Spotlight is the internal data search system implemented by Apple in iOS and OS X, and in iOS 10 it can be accessed much more easily by users by slightly swiping from the top of the screen to the bottom, the search box being displayed in just a few seconds.
Spotlight should normally be available on the main apps screen, by swiping from left to right on the first page of apps, or pressing the Home button, but that page is now dedicated to the new app widgets, so Spotlight and - found another place.
