iOS 10 has a TextEdit app

The TextEdit application of OS X has been brought in iOS 10 by the Apple company, it being highlighted in one of the video clips published by the Apple company for the presentations made during WWDC 2016, and in the image below you can see what kind of icon was created for its display in iOS.

The TextEdit application appears in the iPad task switcher, so the employee who made the presentation had it open in the background, but forgot to close it before starting the presentation, so now we have the first official confirmation that a TextEdit application for iOS 10 was created.

Those of you who use OS X, know that the TextEdit application is a kind of WordPad for the operating system dedicated to Macs, it offers standard options for editing texts, and the version for iOS 10 could have exactly the same functionality, or maybe even something additional.

Icons for the TextEdit application, but also for the Preview application, were discovered in the beta version of iOS 8 when it was offered to application developers for the iOS platform, but unfortunately none of those applications were officially released for users in these 2 years.

iOS 10 TextEdit

Apple already offers a Notes app that gets new features every year for users, so a TextEdit app for iOS 10 would convince many users to forget about Notes, and that could be one of the reasons why Apple is hesitant to release it. for now.

Apple has a habit of testing a multitude of applications with its employees, or with some partners who use beta versions of the operating system, but few of them end up being released for iDevice users, so although we see the application again TextEdit in the tablet of an Apple company engineer, it remains to be seen whether Apple will offer it or not, but it still exists, even in iOS 10.
