Skype allows offline file sharing

Yesterday the Skype application was updated by the Microsoft company, and one of the new functions implemented for users is the possibility to share files whose size does not exceed 300 MB.

We are talking about pictures, movies, or any other type of file supported by Skype, they can be sent separately to contacts, and they can download them when they connect to the network.

The files are saved in the servers of Skype so that they can be downloaded by our contacts even when we disconnect from the network, the idea of Skype being extremely interesting.

So, now you can share a holiday video and go straight back to the beach, knowing that your friends and family can download the video whenever they come online—while you're out enjoying the sunshine!

Apart from this new function, Skype now allows the re-download of a file that has been shared with us, so that if you have downloaded it once on one device, you will be able to make a new download on other terminals, if you need, without be restricted by the network.

Collect a file more than once, on multiple devices – you can now pick up a file multiple times on different devices. Imagine you're on your way home and want to start reviewing a PowerPoint document on your phone, and then download it again to make edits on a computer at home.

The new features of the Skype application are available both for users of mobile terminals and for those who use the desktop application.
