The attack in Nice postpones the launch of Pokemon GO

Last weekend was marked by two extremely important events, an attack that took place in the French city of Nice, and the coup attempt that took place in Turkey, the whole world being shocked by this sequence of events, the attention of many being directed towards the two countries.

These incidents did not stop the company Niantic from launching Pokemon GO in 27 countries in Europe, but stopped it from launching the game in France, the company stating that out of respect for what happened there, it decided not to offer the title for download through the App Store, the move being as logical as possible.

Niantic representatives have not confirmed the date on which Pokemon GO will be released in this country, but this is one of the rare occasions when an extremely popular game is not released in a country due to a terrorist attack affecting the nation, but the decision attracted a lot of sympathy from the whole world.

Pokemon GO was launched in Romania however, it was received extremely well by the Romanians, even if for 12 hours the game was mostly unusable due to the problems that Niantic had with supporting the very high traffic generated by those trying to catch virtual pokemon.

As a sign of respect for the French people in this time of national mourning, the release of Pokemon Go is postponed. Our thoughts and prayers are with France and the victims affected by this terrible attack.
