More precisely, the Apple partner TPK, from which screens for the iPhone or Apple Watch are bought, currently produces a new type of OGS screen, one glass solution, which is superior in quality and functionality compared to the screen used at the moment in the current version of the Americans' smartwatch.
The transition from the current G/G screen to the OGS one also implies a change in the manufacturing process of the component, and those at TPK have problems in obtaining a high production, this seems to have been one of the reasons why the watch did not it was launched in April, but it will arrive on the market only in September.
According to the sources of this information, those from TPK would not have expected to run into the problems that prevented them from producing more components than they can at the moment, but things will probably change in the following months, and those from Apple will receive more units from Asian partners.
