Yesterday the authorities from Russia has started an investigation against Apple, accusing those from Cupertino of forcing the local partners to establish the same sale price for iPhone 6S throughout the country, a well-intentioned "citizen" informing the authorities about the financial scheme made by the Americans.
Although they did not comment on the situation yesterday, today those from Cupertino made a short and comprehensive statement in which they claim that they are not in any way involved in setting the selling prices for the iPhone 6S in Russia, but it is hard to believe that 16 local retailers they have united alone to do this in the country.
It was hard to believe that Apple would confirm the accusations of the Russians and plead guilty to what it is accused of, so today's short statement was expected, and in the next period its lawyers will probably try to resolve the situation so that the company is not pulled in a scandal of a greater magnitude.
According to what was declared by the Russian authorities, the iPhone 6S prices were identical or extremely close at the stores that officially sold the Cupertino smartphone, the conclusion drawn from here being that Apple convinced them to practice the same price everywhere in order to take away the option from the citizens to buy the terminals officially, but cheaply.
