Malware – Android's big problem
According to this study, 68% of global smartphone owners use a terminal that runs the Android operating system, and of these, 87% run a non-updated version of the operating system, so they do not benefit from all the protection that Google offers for devices.
Although those from Google are fighting to update Android with solutions to vulnerabilities and improvements to security systems, terminal manufacturers are in no hurry to release these updates for their own users, so they are always in great danger from hackers.
If we look at the evolution of malware, you can see that between 2012 and 2013 the number of discovered versions increased more than 5 times, the total number doubling within two years, but it could double again within a year single year, a sign that there is a lot of money to be made from malware.
The only good part in this whole problem is that most of the malware is concentrated in China, according to this study, so most users on the planet are not really that affected by this major problem of the Google platform, but things will definitely change soon.
