Pokemon GO update blocks jailbreak and root

Pokemon GO, the most popular game of the summer and of all time in the AppStore or Google Play, is going to be updated these days, both for iOS and Android. The developer company, Niantic, is preparing a series of major changes, starting with the Buddy system, which allows users to choose a pokemon to be their virtual companion.

Separately, Pokemon GO allows you to much more easily select small Pokemon on the screens of mobile terminals, but also solves a problem that generates the hatching of eggs without displaying the animation. Game performance has also been improved on terminals where the internet connection changes during the game, Pokemon GO Plus support also being offered.

Finally, those from Niantic also announced that they will block the possibility of using the Pokemon GO game on iOS and Android terminals that have jailbroken. A method to solve the problem has already been discovered on the Android platform, and a similar method will definitely be discovered on the iOS platform to not force users to give up the jailbreak.

The Pokemon GO application is available for free download, in universal format, from the App Store following this link.

  • Implemented Buddy Pokémon: Trainers will now be able to choose one of their Pokémon to be their buddy. A Trainer can earn Candy for their Buddy Pokémon by walking a certain distance.
  • Made it easier to select smaller Pokémon on the screen.
  • Fixed an issue where Eggs would sometimes hatch without displaying the animation.
  • Improved performance reliability when a device switches networks to no longer cause the application to hang or stop updating.
  • Pokémon GO Plus support
  • Minor text fixes.

We continue to focus on eliminating bots and scrapers from Pokémon GO. Rooted or jailbroken devices are not supported by Pokémon GO. Remember to download Pokémon GO from the official Google Play Store or iTunes App Store only.
