Adobe Lightroom records photos in RAW format

Adobe Lightroom is an application available for over 1 year in App Store, being launched by the company Adobe and we are talking about a version for iPhone, and with fewer functions, a Lightroom.

The Adobe Lightroom application was updated during the past few days by those from Adobe, and the main innovation implemented for it is RAW support. Those from Adobe have a special format called DNG that allows the recording of photos in RAW format, it being open-source and specially developed by the company for recording photos.

According to those from Adobe, this new format allows the recording of pictures at the best possible quality using the 12 megapixel camera of our iPhone cameras. Adobe displays in the Lightroom application the option to choose in which format we want to record the pictures, and the DNG one must be chosen to benefit from the RAW support in iOS 10.

"The in-app camera now supports the DNG format! DNG is Adobe's open-source raw format that gives you maximum image quality and the greatest amount of editing flexibility. To use the DNG format you need to have iOS 10 and a device that has a 12MP camera.”

The Adobe Lightroom application can be downloaded for free from the AppStore following this link, but the function of recording photos in RAW format is only available for iOS 10.
