Facebook Messenger has CallKit for iOS 10

Facebook Messenger supports iOS 10 and displays VoIP calls on the full screen of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

application Facebook Messenger was updated this evening, and although those from Facebook did not announce what was important, we are talking about a function of iOS 10. More precisely, we are talking about support for the CallKit system offered by the Apple company, that is, now VoIP calls through Messenger will appear like normal phone messages.

In the images below you can see how everything looks and, basically, when we are called, we will have the entire screen occupied by this call, as it happens with a normal phone call. Starting with iOS 10, Apple allows application developers to implement this type of support for VoIP calls, and now we have it in Facebook Messenger.

Until now, any call received through Facebook Messenger was displayed as a notification banner, but those from Apple understood that these types of calls are important. In this idea, from now on they will be displayed exactly like normal phone calls, so that users can answer them exactly like a normal call.

Users do not have to do anything at all to enjoy this new feature of Facebook Messenger, the new interface for calls appearing directly when the call is made. To enjoy this new functionality, make sure you have the latest version of the Facebook Messenger application installed through the AppStore.
