Downgrade iOS 10.0.2 to iOS 10 or iOS 10.0.1

Downgrade iOS 10.0.2 to iOS 10 or iOS 10.0.1 is possible at the moment, Apple company allows the installation of old versions.

Last night iOS 10.0.2 was released by the Apple company for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users around the world, and a lot of people rushed to install the update. Not everyone was satisfied with the change offered by iOS 10.0.2, although the Apple company only prepared improvements for its users, but even so, you can downgrade anyway.

You can downgrade iOS 10.0.2 to iOS 10 or iOS 10.0.1 right now from any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, with Apple still signing iOS 10 and iOS 10.0.1. The procedure is simple, it involves performing a few steps and deleting all data from your terminals, so do it knowing that you will not be able to use a backup from iOS 10.0.2 in a previous version.

iOS 9.3.5 is the last public version of iOS 9 offered by the Apple company and another after it will never exist, other versions of iOS 9 no longer being signed. If you are not satisfied with iOS 10, then you can only downgrade iOS 10 to iOS 9.3.5 without hoping that you will be able to install other versions of the operating system for iDevices.

Downgrade iOS 10.0.2 to iOS 10 or iOS 10.0.1

Before downgrading iOS 10.0.2 to iOS 10 or iOS 10.0.1 you will need to make a backup for the data in your terminals to be sure that you do not lose them in case something goes wrong. Last week, I explained in an article how to back up data with iCloud and iTunes, so you can use the information there to protect your data from the terminals.

After you have made a backup, you must know that the data saved in iOS 10.0.2 cannot be used in iOS 10 or iOS 10.0.1, so you will have to give it up. Now, if you are ready, you can follow the steps below to downgrade 10.0.2 to iOS 10 or iOS 10.0.1:

  1. Download iOS 10 or iOS 10.0.1.
  2. Connect your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to your computer and open iTunes.
  3. Put your device into DFU Mode by following these steps: Press the Home and Lock buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds, release the Lock button, and hold only the Home button until iTunes recognizes the device, even if the screen remains blank.
  4. Holding down the Shift key on the keyboard (Windows) or Alt + Option (Mac), press the button Check for iTunes Update and the program will install the version chosen by you in your terminals.
  5. If option 4 does not work, use the button Restore and the procedure should work.

After completing the procedure, you will have iOS 10 or iOS 10.0.1 installed on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and you will be able to enjoy this version of the operating system for your terminals. If you have other questions, I'm waiting for them in the comments.
