Apple has cut iPhone repair costs by 40%

Apple has reduced by 40% the costs for repairing iPhone terminals thanks to new repair centers opened by Foxconn.

Because increasing the price of iPhones is not enough in an attempt to obtain higher profits, those from Apple managed to reduce their repair costs for terminals by 40%. Everything is based on the fact that Foxconn managed to obtain the approval of the government of Shanxi, China, to repair iPhone terminals in that geographical area.

Those from Foxconn have been trying to obtain this approval for some time, and now they can repair iPhone terminals including there, the repair costs being much reduced. In March, those from Foxconn opened a factory for the repair of iPhone terminals including in Henan province, terminals from 7 countries arriving there, including those from the USA or Great Britain.

The two locations where Foxconn repairs iPhone terminals seriously reduce Apple's repair costs, more precisely by 40%, according to some journalists' estimates. Yes, you read that right, Apple now repairs its iPhone terminals at almost half of the previous price, and this allows it to obtain more profit when reselling them, or to lose less money when replacing them.

Apple has also seriously reduced the replacement costs of iPhone screens through the AppleCare program, but not the standard ones, because the rest of the customers have to pay more. Even though Apple has now reduced by 40% the repair costs for iPhone terminals taken to Foxconn in China, do not expect the price of repairs to decrease anywhere.

"In March, Foxconn also started maintenance service business at its subsidiary in Henan, China to repair iPhones from seven countries including the US, the UK, Japan and Australia. The business model helps Apple to save 40% of its costs on its smartphone maintenance services, added the paper."
