iOS 10 displays the car's parking space

One of the new functions of the Maps application from iOS 10 it allows us to set on the map the place where we parked our car, if you happen to be forgetful, or if you don't manage in large parking lots. Those from Apple took over this function from Google Maps, but its existence is welcome in the platform, especially since many people need such systems.

Called Show parked location, the new function can be activated from the menu Maps, of the application Settings, Configurations, being present in its lower part. According to the description made by the Apple company, the parking place is automatically saved if I use Apple Maps for navigation, or if the phone is connected via Bluetooth or the car's Carplay.

When you park, the Apple Maps, Maps application will display a notification asking you if you want to set that location as a parking place for the car. If you confirm, then that place will be saved on the map as the location where you parked the car and you will be able to create a route for it, no matter where you are when you return to the car.

The function is very useful in a very large open parking lot, but in underground parking lots it is unlikely that you have GPS coordinates for it to be used. Even so, its inclusion can save you a lot of trouble, especially since in Romania most parking lots are open and in some periods they are extremely crowded.
