The new smartphone of the Google company runs pure Android, without modifications, but even so it fails to surpass the iPhone 7 Plus in terms of performance, the synthetic tests showing a similar difference between the devices.
Although the terminals are equal when it comes to using native applications or social network applications, things change when it comes to games. In opening games, the iPhone 7 Plus is faster than the Google Pixel, as happens in every test with terminals running Google's Android operating system.
It seems the games are Achilles' heel for Android smartphones, charging much harder than iPhone terminals, year after year. In the case of Google Pixel, games are also the problem, but this is only a first performance test, so things could change after we could see more comparisons of this kind.
To be completely honest, I expected the iPhone 7 Plus to be faster than the Google Pixel just based on the performances visible in the synthetic tests. However, if no pure Android smartphone can beat an iPhone 7 Plus in terms of performance, then it is unlikely that a third-party manufacturer will offer something better for customers.
