iOS 10.1 has been released for iPhone and iPad

iOS 10.1 was released for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch this evening, with Apple offering the update to all iDevice users worldwide. I told you last week that the release of iOS 10.1 will take place by tomorrow at the latest, and this happened tonight.

The biggest change brought by iOS 10.1 is related to the iPhone 7 Plus, which starting today has the new Portrait function available in the Camera application. This function allows us to take photos with a bokeh effect, that is, the subject is displayed in the foreground, while the background of the photos has a blur applied over its entire distance.

Apart from this news for iOS 10.1, there are no other notable ones for global users, the rest of the changes being minor and the vast majority invisible. The big problem is that Apple has also reduced the performance of its operating system compared to previous versions, so we don't have a change for the better.

iOS 10.1 has been released for iPhone and iPad

If you have a beta version of the iOS 10.1 operating system installed in your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, then you will be able to update to the final version in your terminals. It doesn't matter if you have the beta or public beta version of iOS 10.1, you will be able to update anyway starting from this moment, so you don't have to worry.

To install iOS 10.1 on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, then you will need to use the system Software Update, Software Update, or iTunes. To use the first system, you will need to access Settings > General > Software Update, Configurations > General > Software Update and follow the instructions that are displayed on the screen.

If the update does not appear yet, delete the beta profile installed in your terminals and after restarting the terminal you should see the update available for installation. That said, I'm waiting for your first impressions about how iOS 10.1 works on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and how happy you are with it after installation.

UPDATED: watchOS 3.1 was also released.
