450 million iPhones are active globally

At the moment there are almost 450 million active iPhone terminals globally with users who could upgrade.

According to American analysts, at the moment there are approximately 450 million active iPhone terminals globally, an absolutely impressive number. The figure is close to this value, and by the end of the year it will be reached by those from Apple, but this is mainly satisfied iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which records very good sales.

Although the number of active iPhone terminals globally is very large, most of them are models at least 2 years old, as you can already see. This is excellent news for the Apple company, because it has a very large base of customers with old iPhone terminals who need sufficient motivation to buy a new model.

Whether this new model will be the iPhone 7, or another iPhone with a 4-inch screen, the Apple company has many customers who will soon be looking for a new smartphone. With an anniversary iPhone ready for launch next year, Apple has over 2-thirds of iPhone users owning smartphones older than 2 years, potentially bringing serious money into Americans' accounts.

In 2015 Apple sold over 200 million iPhone terminals, while many others became inactive, and in 2016 this figure could also be reached. Despite this, there are still many old terminals that users do not give up for various reasons, but an iPhone 8 could make them change their minds.

A lot of people are expecting the biggest change for the iPhone series in its entire 2017-year history in 10, and that could convince a lot of people to upgrade. If Apple manages to convince at least half of the users with old terminals to upgrade, it could set new sales records, higher than those of 2014-2015.

Until then, it remains to be seen what the Apple company will officially announce and if its new iPhone terminals will really be attractive enough.
