A 30-year-old woman from a city in California says she was playing a VR game when another player assaulted her.
The woman was playing QuiVr, a game with zombies where players can also communicate verbally through the VR headset, and during the game she wanted to try the multiplayer mode, joining the user with the nickname BigBro442. The woman claims that after some time the avatar of the partner in the game started to make gestures as if touching her in the intimate areas. She stated that she urged the user to stop, but this provoked him even more.
Even when I turned away from him, he chased me around, making grabbing and pinching motions near my chest, Emboldened, he even shoved his hand towards my virtual crotch and started rubbing.
The woman later complained in an article published on the Medium platform and this is not the only case in which a woman declares that she was assaulted in a video game. And a young woman from Moscow told the police that she was raped by a huge pokemon in her apartment.
