As you probably already know, the Apple company intends to produce a TV show called Planet of the Apps, with the ecosystem of applications for iOS in the center. Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow and other stars will be part of the show, but separately we will also see some investors who could choose the ideas of some developers to finance them.
Apple asked those interested to register through an online platform to participate in the show, and now it has initiated the process of choosing those who will end up in front of the cameras. Those who will be chosen will benefit from the expertise of the jury, up to 100 developers will be part of the show that will be broadcast only online.
Until now it is known that the developers should present their ideas to the jury, and those interested in the viability of the idea will decide whether they will invest any amount of money in it or not. Other similar TV shows already exist, but Planet of the Apps will focus only on iOS applications, so not ideas that are not directly related to them.
Investments in the applications will amount to 10 million dollars during the filming, and the final version of the application will be promoted through the AppStore. Those selected went through a 4-step verification process, and in the following months they will go to Los Angeles, where the show will be filmed, for 9 days of filming.
The show Planet of the Apps will be officially launched in 2017, and theoretically it should be distributed through Apple Music or the iTunes Store.
