Some of these changes are offered today through the update released for the WhatsApp application last night, but others will come in the following versions. - Updated all locations.
- Redesigned the Share menu (WhatsApp > Chats > Share).
- The GIF sharing feature is now enabled by default for all.
- The GIF search provider is now enabled by default for all.
- The "Data Usage" section is now "Data and Storage Usage".
- The "Storage Usage" option is now in the "Data and Storage Usage" section.
- The "Storage Usage" option is completely redesigned!
- In the future you will be able to delete a particular type of media in a particular chat, for example you will be able to delete all voice messages in a group, or you will be able to delete all GIFs that you received from your friend.
- Added Storage Usage preview using 3D Touch actions.
- New option found in Contact/Group info: "Chat History". Using this option, you will be able to read only a portion of that chat (All messages that you received/sent on January (2014), or All messages that you received/sent on April (2016)). Note that this is disabled by default and it will be available in the next WhatsApp updates (2.16.16+).
- Optimizing for the Attach Media, Camera, Microphone, Send, voice and video calls icons.
- Some improvements to manage Bluetooth connections (for Audio).
- Added some Business features.
- Some improvements to manage the cache.
- Improvements for video calls.
