CES 2017: Kolibree launches toothbrush with artificial intelligence

CES 2017 brings us the Kolibree toothbrush, having integrated an artificial intelligence system that helps us brush our teeth more efficiently.

CES 2017 brings us an extremely interesting gadget from a company called Kolibree, more precisely a toothbrush that boasts of having an integrated artificial intelligence system. In the video clip below you can see how the product presented by Kolibree at CES 2017 works, probably being the first of its kind ever created.

In 2014, Kolibree presented its first intelligent toothbrush, and the functionality of the one presented at CES 2017, called Ara, is identical, from certain points of view. Ara has a series of integrated sensors to monitor its every movement while we brush our teeth, so you will know how well we brush in certain areas and how little in others.

Ara is not the only smart toothbrush present at CES 2017, but it is the only one with artificial intelligence, and here comes the great technology of the Kolibree company. She claims that based on the information taken from the sensors, a special algorithm created by her can make recommendations to improve the way we brush our teeth daily.

Ara sends us these recommendations by email directly to the smartphone once a week, so it has to record quite a lot of data before making recommendations. Other smart toothbrushes also have applications that make similar recommendations, but in the case of Ara, the artificial intelligence should make the difference compared to the rest of the systems on the market.

Ara is presented at CES 2017 by Kolibree with a selling price of 130 dollars, so it is not much more expensive than other smart brushes available on the market. Ara will be launched in March by Kolibree, it is now available for pre-order, for all those interested, through their website.
