CES 2017: Sennheiser launches 3D headphones for iPhone

CES 2017 from Sennheiser brings us a pair of headphones called Ambeo Smart Surround, they are able to record 3D sound for us. The headphones from Sennheiser connect to the iPhone through the Lightning port and can play any kind of sounds that the terminal plays at one time or another, but the magic lies in the ability to record 3D sounds.

According to those from Sennheiser, the new headphones are capable of recording 3D sounds, as the human ear perceives them, so they must be placed very deep in the ear. As I told you, the recording of 3D sounds is done by Sennheiser headphones using a series of microphones that are implemented outside them, so they will "hear" everything around us.

Sennheiser headphones also have a special design created to facilitate the recording of 3D sounds, so if you place them correctly in your ear, you will have very good recordings. Considering their profile, these headphones are advertised as perfect for cameras that allow 360-degree recording, but it is not known if they also monitor head movements.

Those from Sennheiser have not yet announced a possible price for the headphones nor when they would be officially launched on the market, so it remains to be seen when they will be available for purchase.
