A TV station from San Diego broadcast a report the other day in which they told the experience of some parents whose little girl bought a doll house with Amazon Echo.
The girl thought she was just having a conversation with Amazon Echo when she asked it to buy her a house for dolls and toys, but the next day a product worth 160 dollars and 4 KG of cookies were delivered. Questioned, the girl admitted everything and told her parents the command spoken to the Amazon Echo, and the television reporter said it on TV.
Unfortunately, saying that command on the TV led to several dozen other commands made by other Amazon Echos in the homes of some citizens of the city of San Diego. They complained to the local television about the problem that the report generated, but this reveals an even bigger problem that exists with devices of this kind.
Those at Amazon have activated as standard the function that allows the purchase of products by voice commands, so that any kind of order given, even through the television, is fulfilled. This is the first time that the Amazon Echo presents this problem, but in 2014 a Microsoft advertisement led to the automatic start of the Xbox consoles and the opening of the Titanfall game.

Having said that, this incident should give food for thought to manufacturers who launch systems of this kind on global markets. Unfortunately, they are not designed to not receive commands from children who do not know how to interact with them, so parents must be extremely careful with what their children do with smart gadgets.
