15 million MacBooks could be sold in 2017

2017 is seen as an extremely good year for Apple's MacBook series, with no less than 15 million units to be sold worldwide. We are talking about a 10% increase in sales estimated by analysts, who are of the opinion that the world will look more for Apple products based on the news to be announced.

The MacBook Pro line is the one in which analysts have great confidence that it will generate the highest sales in 2017, and this is still in the top of preferences. MacBook Pro 2016 had very good sales after its launch on global markets, and this trend will continue in 2017, even after a new model will be launched in the fall.

Analysts base their sales growth estimates on the fact that the 2017 MacBook Pro with Intel Kaby Lake processor and better autonomy will convince more people to upgrade. This could be 100% true, but everything depends a lot on the way Apple will choose to update the laptop series.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro without Touch Bar is to be sold cheaper in 2017 and is seen as the perfect replacement for the discontinued 13-inch MacBook Air. This model of the MacBook Pro had weak sales in 2016 and Apple wants to increase them substantially with a reduction in the purchase price, its strategy being able to succeed.

"Apple's MacBook shipments are expected to grow 10% on year to reach 15 million units in 2017 due to new MacBook Pro products. MacBook Pros using the Kaby Lake platform are expected to be released sometime later in 2017, and the platform's low power consumption is expected to trigger a replacement trend among existing MacBook users. Apple is likely to reduce the price for the 13-inch MacBook Pro without OLED Touch Bar to increase its overall shipments and will use the device to replace the 13-inch MacBook Air.”

Regarding new MacBook launches, well, a 12-inch MacBook is expected until June, it will have an Intel Kaby Lake processor, but also up to 16 GB of RAM memory. New models of the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar will go into production in July and could be launched in October, with a maximum of 32 GB of RAM for computers.
