Samsung Galaxy S8 – these are the final dimensions

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and its final dimensions were revealed during this day, confirming the final specifications of the new smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S8 has new confirmations today regarding the final dimensions of this smartphone, and in the images below you can see what it is about. We are talking about a Samsung Galaxy S8 and a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus that the Samsung company has prepared for launch in April.

The images below regarding the dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 come directly from a partner of the Samsung company, but also from a very reliable publication. According to the sketches you can see below, the Samsung Galaxy S8 screen has an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, unusual for a smartphone, but this confirms the implementation of a larger screen.

We see again that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to have a screen with a diagonal of 5.8 inches, while the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus has a screen with a diagonal of 6.2 inches. The implementation of these screens in the Samsung Galaxy S8 will allow the display of larger images, but without increasing the 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution of the previous models.

Samsung Galaxy S8 – these are the final dimensions

Based on the information taken from the sources, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will have 85% of the entire front panel occupied by the screen, the percentage being very high. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy S8, things should be similar, the latter being approximately as tall and wide as its predecessor.

Although the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will have screens much larger than those of the previous models, the total size will not increase accordingly. Samsung removed the Home button from the Samsung Galaxy S8 to allow the implementation of this larger screen, it being moved to the case.

Unfortunately, in the Samsung Galaxy S8 we do not have a fingerprint reader integrated into the screen, or other similar sensors integrated into the screen, nor a similar 3D Touch system from Apple. Despite this, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have enough changes to make it attractive, but it won't be much bigger than its predecessor.
