Apple hired a well-known hacker who developed jailbreak solutions

Yesterday the Apple company announced the employment of Jonathan Zdziarski, a well-known expert in computer security, but also a developer of jailbreak solutions. Known in the jailbreak community by the pseudonym NerveGas, Jonathan Zdziarski was part of the famous iPhone Dev Team, which launched the first jailbreak and unlock solutions for the iPhone.

After the disappearance of the iPhone Dev Team, Jonathan Zdziarski also contributed to the launch of some jailbreak solutions, but recently he remained known only as an expert in IT security. Over the years, Jonathan Zdziarski has revealed multiple exploits in iOS, but he supported the American company in the fight against the FBI last year.

Given his extensive experience in iOS and operating system security, Jonathan Zdziarski is now employed in the iOS security team. It is hard to say if Apple also bought possible exploits that Jonathan Zdziarski owned, but theoretically iOS should become much more secure in the future, and thanks to him.

Jonathan Zdziarski is not the only hacker who developed jailbreak solutions and was employed by Apple, comex being part of the Apple company for a few months a few years ago. Considering that in recent years Jonathan Zdziarski has not dealt with the release of jailbreak solutions, it is difficult to say to what extent the employment will affect the release of future solutions by Jonathan Zdziarski.

"I'm pleased to announce that I've accepted a position with Apple's Security Engineering and Architecture team, and am very excited to be working with a group of like minded individuals so passionate about protecting the security and privacy of others."
