A 4-year-old used Siri to save his mother's life

A 4-year-old child from London, UK, used the Siri personal assistant to call emergency services when his mother passed out. Below you have a recording of the call made by the child to the emergency service 999, the equivalent of 112, he managed to initiate the call using the personal assistant Siri from his mother's iPhone.

He used his mother's finger to unlock the terminal and then activated the personal assistant Siri to call the emergency service. The child was in the house with his mother, a twin brother and a brother of a younger age, his reaction helping to save the life of the woman he thought was dead because she had closed her eyes and did not seem to be breathing.

The paramedics arrived at the woman's address in 13 minutes from the initiation of the call and transported her to the hospital, discharging her the same day after a series of checks. Although the woman escaped without problems from this incident, it shows us how important it is that all children learn from an early age how to ask for help from the authorities in cases of this kind.

"A four-year-old boy saved his mother's life by using her thumb to unlock her iPhone and then asking it to call 999. Roman, who lives in Kenley, Croydon, south London, used the phone's voice control – Siri – to call emergency services. During the 999 call Roman told the operator he thought his mum was dead because "she's closing her eyes and she's not breathing".
