Samsung Galaxy S8 – high pre-orders despite the higher price

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is very successful even in the US, despite the higher selling price, and this could motivate Apple to sell the iPhone 8 more expensively.

Samsung Galaxy S8 registers very large pre-orders in South Korea and told you yesterday what kind of growth this terminal registered in relation to Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S7. More than 550.000 units of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus were pre-ordered in South Korea by customers, the figure being 150.000 units higher than the one registered for the Galaxy Note 7.

Although in South Korea it was expected that the sales of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus would be very high, Samsung announced that even the sales in the USA are beyond expectations. The Korean company announced to the press that the sales of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus in the US registered a 2-digit percentage increase, so at least 10% compared to the Galaxy S7.

This means that in the USA the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus have registered pre-orders in the order of hundreds of thousands of units, suggesting that the interest is very high there as well. The US is a much bigger market than South Korea, and Samsung has the opportunity to record very good sales for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus if they promote it properly.

In the US, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus are sold by the Samsung company along with some substantial gifts to increase sales. More precisely, Samsung partners offer Gear VR headsets and gift vouchers for Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, the total value of the gifts even reaching up to 250 dollars in certain situations.

The very good sales of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus in the US are certainly boosted by the gifts offered, but that matters less since people choose the products. The interesting part is that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus are sold at prices over 50 dollars higher than their predecessors, but they are still in demand.

If the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus are very popular despite the high selling prices, then those from Apple could understand that the iPhone 8 could also be popular if it is sold more expensively.
