At the moment in the USA there are the most iPhone users in the entire history of the terminal produced by the Apple company, as you can see from the graph below. More precisely, in the USA there are 85.8 million users of iPhone terminals who are at least 13 years old, the estimate being made by monitoring the market in a period of 3 months until January 2017.
Of all the iPhone terminals active in the US at the moment, the iPhone 7 series represents approximately 15% of the total, a remarkable percentage for products two weeks before the study began. As was normal, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S terminals are the most popular, they add up to 48.4% of the total number of active iPhone terminals in the US, so almost half.
Going further, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S represent 17.8% of the total, and thus we reach over 90% of the entire American user base. Those from IHS, the authors of this study, claim that the iPhone is the most popular smartphone in the US and various other locations around the world, something highlighted repeatedly by the very good sales of the Apple company.
At the moment, it is estimated that at the global level there would be at least 600 million active iPhone terminals, so the USA represents more than 10% of the total number of products. Apple has over 1 billion active iDevices globally, so the rest is completed by iPad tablets and iPod Touch terminals, the total number of active users being a colossal one for a single manufacturer.
