Apple shows us that there is "life after the iPhone"

One of the biggest fears of American analysts is based on the fact that Apple will not succeed after its iPhone terminals lose their popularity. The truth is that a company built on a single type of product can have vulnerabilities of this kind, especially since its iPad tablets have not been selling as well for a very long time.

Although the sales of iPad tablets decrease year after year, and those of the iPhone fail to match their previous performances, those from Apple still manage to generate continuously increasing revenues. Q1 2017 is the perfect proof of the fact that Apple can compensate for the lack of popularity of the iPhone both in terms of revenue and profit.

Although iPhone sales decreased by several hundred thousand units compared to Q1 2016, Apple generated revenues and profit several billion dollars higher than then. The difference is due to the much better sales of the Apple Watch, but also to the success of the new AirPods headphones, both types of products registering very good sales.

The difference between the average selling prices of the iPhone is not colossal, so we are talking here about the adjacent products that Apple relies on to compensate for the bad sales periods of the iPhone. So far things seem to be going quite well and Apple shows us that it does not rely exclusively on the iPhone to generate its revenues.

Yes, now iPhones generate more than two-thirds of Apple's sales and that won't stop anytime soon, but adjacent products are starting to generate more and more important revenues. AirPods, Apple Watch and Beats headphones would have generated about 5 billion dollars for Apple, almost a tenth of the revenues, and this percentage will continue to grow.
