iPhone 8 - this is how Touch ID could be integrated into the case

The iPhone 8 could have Touch ID integrated into the case, but the dimensions of the new smartphone are similar to those of the iPhone 7.

iPhone 8 with Touch ID integrated in the case is again suggested by a company specialized in analyzing the global smartphone market. In the image below you can see their vision of how the iPhone 8 could have a fingerprint reader integrated into the case, it could be positioned right in the middle of the glass case of the new product.

We are not talking about an ideal position for Touch ID and I am sure that many of those interested in iPhone 8 will have a lot to say about such a choice. However, there is still the possibility that the iPhone 8 will have a Touch ID integrated into the screen, the rumors about this component being contradictory for now, a sign that Apple has not yet decided on the final implementation.

Next, we see again that the iPhone 8 will have a dual vertical camera, all the rumors being clear in this regard, so there are no doubts. This dual vertical camera of the iPhone 8 is going to have a size of 24mm, with a thickness of 11mm, so we are talking about something similar to what Apple currently offers in the iPhone 7.

Apart from these, the analysts also present us with a sketch in which they provide details on the dimensions of the iPhone 8, the information being very interesting. According to the sketch, the iPhone 8 will have a length of 144mm, a width of 71mm and a thickness of 7.69mm, but of course the data is not finalized yet, so everything we see here is subject to change.

However, comparing it with the iPhone 7, the iPhone 8 will be 6mm longer, 4mm taller and 0.5mm thicker, the differences being small. If we think about the fact that Apple wants to integrate a 5.8-inch screen in the iPhone 8, then this change in dimensions seems to be fully justifiable and will certainly be accepted by everyone.

"Both Samsung and Apple tried to enable in-display fingerprint sensing on full-screen OLED phones in 2017, but their optical tech seems immature and the major iPhone 8 bottleneck. Some thus speculate the fingerprint sensor will be removed and replaced by 3D sensing. Our latest supply chain checks indicate the iPhone 8 will still have the sensor given security, user-friendliness, and a need for payments infrastructure, but there is a high chance it will be on the back like Samsung's Galaxy S8."

Overall, the iPhone 8 will not be much larger than the iPhone 7, although the screen diagonal will offer a much better experience for viewing images. Before concluding, I would like to remind you that this information regarding the iPhone 8 is not yet finalized, so there is a possibility that some of them may change until the moment of release.
