The OnePlus 5 has been attacking the iPhone 7 since the summer of this year

OnePlus 5 will be launched this summer by OnePlus, the new smartphone will compete with iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S8.

OnePlus 5 was officially confirmed by the OnePlus company during this day, the new smartphone being prepared for launch on global markets starting from the summer. OnePlus 5 will continue the OnePlus tradition of launching premium smartphones at much lower prices than the competition, giving the company a serious advantage in the Asian markets.

A lot of details about the specifications have not yet been revealed about the OnePlus 5, but one thing seems to be quite certain regarding the cameras. More precisely, the OnePlus 5 is going to have a dual camera, just like the iPhone 7 and other premium smartphones that OnePlus is currently competing with on global markets.

Although it would have been logical for OnePlus 4 to be launched this year, the number 4 is "skipped" because it is considered unlucky in China, so OnePlus 5 will be the final name of the terminal. Apart from the dual camera, the OnePlus 5 would also have a Snapdragon 835 chip, plus 6 GB of RAM and probably a separate version of 8 GB of RAM, the largest amount ever implemented in a smartphone.

The OnePlus 5 would also have an integrated 3600 mAh battery, but for now it is not known for sure what diagonal the screen will have, although it will definitely be larger than 5 inches. The selling price of the OnePlus 5 would be around $400, well below what Apple or Samsung are asking for at the moment, and this is a very brave move.

Of all the smartphones tested so far, the OnePlus 3T was the only one that came close to the iPhone 7 Plus in terms of performance, so the OnePlus 5 should surpass it.
