The A10X Fusion chip is equal to the Intel i5 processor in terms of performance

The new A10X Fusion chip implemented by Apple in the iPad Pro 10.5 inch is equal in performance to the Intel i5-6400T processor, according to a new test. Below you can see the result of a performance test between iPad Pro 10.5 inch and an iMac, and the A10X Fusion chip has almost the same single-core processing power as the Intel i5-6400T processor.

Although in the multi-core test the Intel i5-6400T processor performs better than the A10X Fusion, but this is because it has an extra core compared to the Apple processor. If the new A10X Fusion chip had a processor with 4 real cores instead of 3 and 6 threads, then the multi-core performance would be at least equal to that of the Intel i5-6400T processor.

If we're being completely honest, the processing power of the new A10X Fusion chip is absolutely amazing, because matching an Intel i5-6400T processor is something hard to believe for many. I think no one expected the new A10X Fusion chip to have as much processing power as an Intel i5-6400T processor, so Apple deserves credit for that.

If the new A10X Fusion chip has so much processing power compared to an Intel i5-6400T processor, then the upcoming A11 chip for the iPhone 8 could be just as powerful. The Apple company will increase the performance of the iPhone 8 with a new A11 chip in the fall, and the A10X Fusion gives us the opportunity to see for the first time what we will have then in the new smartphone.
