Google is preparing a new application for computers with macOS or Windows that will allow you to perform backups in real time directly to Google Drive accounts. Those from Google intend to create this application in such a way that it can backup files from any folder on our computers, depending on what we want to be saved.
All the files are uploaded to a special folder in Google Drive, the Google company creating the application so that we can quickly retrieve those files when needed. Those from Google announced that the new application will be launched on June 28 for all users and will have a name like Backup and Sync, it will be available in macOS and Windows.
This new application developed by Google for the Google Drive platform will replace the standard application and the one for saving photos in Google Photos. Those from Google recommend the use of this new application for all regular users, but business users should continue to use the old applications for Google Drive.

Google could offer users the possibility to open and edit certain documents saved in Google Drive using this new function, but it is not known how extensive the functionality will be. It is not even known in how many computers we could retrieve the data from Google Drive, the Google company avoiding for the time being to provide many details about the functions.
Of course, all these files saved as a backup by the Google company in the Google Drive platform will also reduce the space offered by the company, or bought by us.
