Windows 10 comes without a very Expected Function

Windows 10 will be released by Microsoft without the timeline function that many users around the world were waiting for in the Creators Update.

Windows 10 it will have a new update called Creators Update, it will be released in the fall of this year by the Microsoft company, but apparently without a highly expected function. More precisely, we are talking about the timeline function that many people couldn't wait to use in Windows 10 after installing the Creators Update, but Microsoft confirmed that it is not ready for release.

The confirmation came through a tweet from Joe Belfiore, the vice president who oversees the development of Windows 10, stating that the Timeline function will be offered later. Microsoft has been testing the timeline feature for Windows 10 for some time with various users, but it is not stable enough to be offered to everyone now, and until the fall it seems that there is no confidence that it could be.

For those of you who don't know, the timeline feature in Windows 10 allows users to access content between multiple devices from various platforms. More precisely, if a user starts editing a document on a Windows 10 computer, or reads a web page, he will be able to continue the action on a iPhone, or an Android device without having to get it from the beginning.

Windows 10 comes without a much-awaited feature

The Timeline function for Windows 10 would have given Microsoft a big advantage over those from Apple, which in macOS do not have such functions for Android terminals. They exist for iPhone and iPad, but not for Android, so Windows 10 would offer more functionality for many owners of iPhone or iPad terminals, who do not use a Mac anyway.

Apple launched the Continuity function more than a year ago for its customers, and Microsoft would have reached it later, but with the update for Windows 10 it would have surpassed it. We already know that the vast majority of iPhone and iPad users use Windows computers, not necessarily just Windows 10, but many may be motivated to upgrade to the latest version.

"Timeline won't be in the Fall Creators Update. We're planning for it to be in early insider builds shortly after the Fall Creators Update is out.”

Windows 10 timeline function

Without this highly anticipated feature for Windows 10, many could postpone updating the operating system until Microsoft gets its act together and completes its projects. The postponement of the launch of the Timeline function for Windows 10 is not the first decision of this kind taken by those from Redmond, they have repeatedly failed to deliver major functions promised to users on time.

Whether the Timeline function for Windows 10 will be launched by the end of this year is very difficult to say, but Microsoft is working to bring it to users as quickly as possible.
