iPhone 8 is going to offer two new technologies for the first time for the smartphone market, the company Apple has been working on them for some time and already offers one for its iPad tablets. We are talking about technology ProMotion which was integrated by those from Apple in the iPad Pro 10.5 inch, but sid Espra a chip for artificial intelligence, both of which will end up in the iPhone 8.
We start with ProMotion for iPhone 8, the technology allowing the integration of a screen with a refresh rate of 10.5 Hz in the iPad Pro 120 inch, a true technical achievement. Those from Apple want to offer exactly the same thing in the 5.8-inch OLED screen for the iPhone 8, the novelty being able to dramatically change the way we view content on the screens of our iPhone terminals.
All those who bought the iPad Pro 10.5 inch praised the ProMotion technology without reservation for the fact that it completely changed the way they see content, and Apple wants to offer the same thing in the iPhone 8. With a better refresh rate for the screen, iPhone 8 can display clearer, more accurate images and can respond more quickly to interaction with it and to changes in content in applications.
iPhone 8 – ProMotion and an artificial intelligence chip offered for the first time
The second technology that the iPhone 8 is going to offer for the first time is a special chip for artificial intelligence, the first information about Apple neural engine appearing in May. Then we were told that Apple is preparing this chip to exclusively support the artificial intelligence in the iPhone 8, and now we learn that it is being prepared to be offered in the new terminal.
This new chip that will be offered in the iPhone 8 will take over all the functions that use artificial intelligence for pictures, predicted texts, part of the Siri functions and not only that. Thanks to him, the iPhone 8 will offer better performance for the use of the applications installed in it, but the autonomy will also be much improved because the main processor will not be used for this.
"Apple is testing next-generation iPhone prototypes that include a dedicated chip for processing artificial intelligence tasks and screens that can display content at a higher frame rate. The AI chip is internally called the Apple Neural Engine and would improve battery life by handling tasks like image recognition and typing suggestions. The faster screens in testing are the same as the ProMotion displays in Apple's latest iPad tablets."
Adding to all this the fact that the iPhone 8 will have an OLED screen, which anyway consumes less energy than the LCD ones, we are facing major changes that will substantially increase the battery autonomy. Apart from these, the Apple company also has other improvements and new functions prepared for the iPhone 8, so an extremely interesting autumn is announced for us.
iPhone 8 is to be presented in September by the Apple company together with iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus, but the launch of iPhone 8 could take place in October or November.
