Siri has lost a lot of users

Crab is the personal assistant offered by the Apple company for iPhone and iPad since 2011, and according to a recent report, it remains the most popular of all. An American company conducted a study and discovered that Siri beats Samsung S Voice, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and other personal assistants available on Android.

Siri remained at the top, but it still lost popularity within a year, remaining without 7.3 million of the 48.7 million monthly users it had last year. The monitoring period was between May 2016 and May 2017, so the Bixby personal assistant developed by the company Samsung it was not included in the monitoring statistics.

Siri is still 2 times more popular than Samsung S Voice, with its 41.4 million monthly active users, Samsung managing to gather only 20 million users. Considering the fact that this monitoring only concerns the USA, we see that the personal assistant would be used by more than 10% of the country's population, an extremely high figure for a software of this kind.

Siri is used, on average, 14 minutes per month by each user, so some use it extremely little, probably just to test some of its functions. Considering that most of those who use personal assistants are over 55 years old, and are women, it is understandable why the period of use is not very long, but the statistics are not good for Apple.

"While Siri is still the top-ranking personal assistant app based on number of unique monthly users, between May 2016 and May 2017 Siri's active user base declined with 7.3 million monthly users (nearly 15 percent of its total) — at the same time Android mobile devices have gained popularity."

Siri is a very popular personal assistant because many Americans use the iPhone, but if a global statistic were to be made things could be different, but for now no one can do something like that.
