iPhone 8 – OLED Screen Ignored by Customers

iPhone 8, the OLED screen would not be important enough to motivate some of the Apple fans to buy the new smartphone in the fall.

iPhone 8 will be released this fall by the Apple company, and despite the fact that many people are looking forward to the device, some may decide not to buy it. American analysts are of the opinion that the simple implementation of an OLED screen in the iPhone 8 will not represent a big enough change to convince all old iPhone customers to buy the new smartphone model.

iPhone 8 will not bring an OLED screen for the first time for the smartphone industry, but only for the Apple product line, so the world will not be "turned on its back". Neither iPhone users nor Android smartphone users will see this change as a colossal one, according to analysts, so the iPhone 8 could have trouble increasing Apple's sales in the coming months.

iPhone 8 has the OLED screen seen as a minor update by analysts, as it happens with some functions of a smartphone from the S series, and this is quite true. If we think that Android terminals have OLED screens for more than 7 years, then the implementation in iPhone 8 seems just an attempt by Apple to catch up with its competition and nothing more.

iPhone 8 – the OLED screen could be ignored by customers

iPhone 8 should bring many important functions together with the new OLED screen, otherwise the simple switch from LCD to it will not represent a big enough upgrade. The reality is that the analysts are somewhat right, because most people will not notice any major difference, apart from size and design, in the transition from LCD to the new OLED screen of the iPhone 8.

iPhone 8 will not bring an unprecedented design for a smartphone, because there are Android terminals that already have screens that cover the entire front panel of the case. In this idea, these gloomy forecasts of analysts regarding the response of customers after the launch of the iPhone 8 should be a very good suggestion for Apple to activate other new functions that it surely has in development.

"With OLED, we struggle to see the incremental benefits visually that would inspire a customer to replace an adequately-performing device. While battery life could improve with OLED, our conversations with industry participants suggest that most consumers will not notice any major "must have" experience changes because of new OLED displays versus LCD."

The iPhone 8 will have other separate features that it will offer, apart from a new design, but some may be inactive at launch. I am referring here to the dual 3D camera, the front 3D camera, wireless charging and who knows what other functions that Apple is preparing, but which, apparently, would not be well developed enough to be activated in the iPhone 8 and could be offered only after the official launch.

iPhone 8 will be presented by the Apple company only in September, and the official launch could take place in October, or maybe even November.
