Nokia 8 Appears in the First Official Image

The Nokia 8 appears in a first official press image that reveals the new design ahead of the July 31 launch.

Nokia 8 appears today in the first official image thanks to a well-known leaker who publishes information on products that have not yet been launched on global markets. Below you can see this first official image of the Nokia 8, the new smartphone to compete with iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy S8 and the rest of the Android smartphones that have been, or will be, launched on markets around the world.

Nokia 8 will have a screen that does not cover the entire surface of the front panel, and this will be a disappointment for many of those who were waiting for the device. At the moment, most of those looking for a smartphone look very carefully at the ratio between the screen and the front panel, and the Nokia 8 will lag behind most competitors, including the iPhone 8, which will have an exceptional design this year.

Nokia 8 will also be the first smartphone of HMD Global, the company that launches smartphones under the Nokia brand, with a dual camera, a trend that started more than a year ago. The Nokia 8 does not have a screen that covers the entire front panel, but at least it comes with an interesting dual camera, and apart from this there are some other important novelties with which HMD hopes to win over customers from all over the world.

Nokia 8 will have, according to some benchmarking applications, a screen with a diagonal of 5.3 inches, so it will be very close to that of the iPhone 7 Plus, but smaller than other top premium smartphones. Separately, the Nokia 8 will have a Snapdragon 835 chip with an 8-core processor, which has substantially better performance than any other smartphone processor currently available on the market.

Nokia 8 will also have a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels for the screen, plus 4 or 6 GB of RAM combined with the processor, and this explains to a good extent the high performance. If the Nokia 8 will really have 7000 points in the Geekbench performance tests, then it will have no rival, at least until the iPhone 8 appears on the smartphone market, and that could convince many people to buy it.

Nokia 8 will have a dual camera with two sensors of 13 megapixels each, it seems of course that Cark Zeiss entered into a partnership with HMD for the launch of this smartphone. Nokia 8 should have a camera with exceptional performance, but that was to be expected from a smartphone launched under the brand of the Finns, buyers placing great emphasis on camera quality when buying a mobile terminal.

Nokia 8 is going to be released on July 31st, so we won't have much to wait for it.
