Google – Major Change for Search

Google made a major change for Search, the search engine automatically playing video clips displayed in searches, to the displeasure of some.

Google is going to make a major change for the Google Search search engine, which is currently the most used on the planet. We are talking about a search engine in which billions of searches are made daily from various corners of the planet, and Google intends to implement a change that probably will not be to the liking of all those who use its service daily.

Google is preparing to activate worldwide a new function that will automatically play video clips that are played in searches made using Google Search worldwide. Facebook is hated by everyone because of the implementation of this system for its social network since more than a year ago, and those from Google are following exactly the same path, probably to increase YouTube views.

Google has already applied this change to some of the users who are currently using Google Search, so there are quite a few people complaining about it. From what can be seen now, only YouTube videos are automatically played in Google Search, but this is perfectly normal since Google owns the YouTube platform and only has to gain if the number of views increases for it.

Google - the big change for Search

Google plays these videos in a sidebar, and the good part is that they are played with the sound turned off, so at least we won't hear them and maybe we'll ignore them. Moreover, the video clips played automatically by Google in the Google Search search engine are not restarted indefinitely, but are played only once, and after that they are stopped until the moment we click on them.

For now, Google has implemented this change only for the desktop version of the Google Search search engine, so we will not automatically play videos on mobile terminals. It was also quite upsetting that Google played the video clips including on mobile, needlessly consuming the internet bandwidth for something that users don't want to see anyway, otherwise they would access the video clips from the results themselves.

Google has confirmed the change it implemented, but unfortunately it does not offer a method to disable the automatic playback of video clips in searches. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that there will be any method to block the playback of video clips, so it remains to be seen how long this function of the Google company will be maintained.
